How to Know When the End is Near

How can you recognize the End? Paul writes in 1 Timothy 4 that the last times will be marked by a change in the Church.

1 Timothy 4v4

Here’s what’s going to happen, some church people:

➡️ will fall away from the faith
➡️ will listen to deceitful spirits and
➡️ will follow the teaching of demons

This isn’t a warning for unbelievers but for believers to be on the look out for deceitful teachers who sound like they are promoting the Kingdom of God but are really preaching what they learned from demons.

How can you know if you are being deceived?

First, you need to spend time in Gods Word. The more time you spend putting the Word of God inside you, the more you’ll be able to see the deceivers!

Second, become skeptical. Yes, don’t believe everything you hear. If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. If you feel like something is wrong, trust that feeling.

Third, choose your teachers well and only listen to a few. Your main source of God’s truth is the Bible. Make it your primary source of truth.

Lastly, believe that the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth and give you discernment to see false teachings, through His Word and your brain and heart.

Jesus said that there will be a group of followers who will get to heaven and be turned away.
Matthew 7:21-23

Don’t be part of that group!
