Stop and See God Moving

Stop and See God Moving

“There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God, for apart from Him who can eat or who can have enjoyment?” Ecclesiastes 2:24-25

Did you know the Earth is spinning super-fast, but you can’t feel it? It moves so quickly—at 465 meters per second! Yet, as you stand still, it seems like nothing’s happening. Isn’t that amazing? God made the world work in such a perfect way that we can live, play, and grow without even feeling the ground move beneath us.

Sometimes life can be like that too. We get so busy with school, chores, and playing that we don’t notice God working all around us. It’s like when you’re riding your bike and don’t realize how far you’ve gone until you stop to look back. God is always there, helping and guiding us, even when we don’t see it at first.

The Bible says it’s good for us to enjoy our work, whether it’s homework or helping around the house. But that joy is a gift from God. When I forget to notice God working in my life, even fun things feel less exciting. It’s like eating your favorite snack but not tasting it because you’re too distracted. But when we slow down and pay attention, we start to see how much God is giving us each day, from the big blessings to the tiny ones we might miss.

God wants us to pause during the day, look around, and see how He’s taking care of us. Did your teacher help you understand something hard? That’s God! Did you laugh with a friend at recess? That’s God too. Even the small moments, like hearing birds chirp or feeling the sun on your face, are reminders of His love.

Every good thing is from Him, even in the little things we do every day. So, take a moment to stop and notice. You might be surprised at how much God is moving in your life! When you thank Him for the little joys, you’ll start to feel even closer to Him.
