Daily Bread of Love

“Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.” Psalm 68:19 KJV
When I was little, my family didn’t always have enough money for food. Every month, we got something called food stamps. They looked like colorful play money and helped us buy groceries. On the first day of the month, my mom would pick them up, and we’d fill our cart with treats like cereal and juice. Those were exciting days!
But after a couple of weeks, the food would run low. By the end of the month, there wasn’t much left, and we had to wait for the next first of the month. It was hard to wait, especially when we were hungry.
The Bible reminds us that God gives us what we need every day. Psalm 68:19 says, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.” God doesn’t make us wait until the next month. He’s like a parent who makes sure we’re cared for every single day.
Jesus came to make this even more amazing. Because of Him, we can go straight to God anytime. Jesus makes sure we always have what we need, not just food for our bodies, but love and strength for our hearts too.
God’s blessings never run out. Even when life feels hard, we can trust Him to take care of us. Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” That means God has plenty to give, and He’ll never let us go without what’s truly important.
So, whether you’re feeling full or a little empty, remember: God is like a friend who always shares, a parent who always loves, and a provider who always gives. You don’t have to wait or wonder if He’ll take care of you—He already is!
