186 Bible Reading Plan — Day 33

📆 33 – 💎7 Mark chapter 1 starts out like a modern movie. John the Baptist appears, calling the world to a change, then Jesus appears and is baptized by John. Jesus then goes into the desert to be tempted by the devil, then gathers up a few guys to watch Him work.

A demon inhabiting a man begs mercy from Jesus. Jesus evicts that demon. Then Jesus goes an heals Peter’s mother-in-law and continued to heal many who were sick with disease and cast out many demons.

Jesus preaches a life changing message then, more demons (which happened to be at church).

As the chapter comes to a close, Jesus heals a leper who spread the news that there was a miracle worker. Jesus could barely walk or find a place of solitude because the crowds were too great.

And that was just chapter 1!

Mark’s Gospel is the easiest and quickest gospel to read. It get’s to all the highlights and doesn’t include much beyond the meat on the bones.

It’s clear, Jesus, the Son of God has arrived, and His presence is changing everything.

Isn’t it great to know that when Jesus appeared in your life, everything was forever changed. Maybe you didn’t notice it, but it did.

Believing in Jesus and following and obeying Him is a guaranteed transformational event. And Jesus wants that for all of us.

Remember, the Word of God speaks most clearly when you are reading the Bible.
