Nobody Wants to be Misinformed

Nobody wants to be misinformed. Everyone is trying to get information that is going to help them make the right decisions. Unfortunately, it has become harder and harder to know what is TRUE.

This isn’t a new problem. Sure, technology has made the issue more relevant to much more people, but even in the Bible, misinformation was a problem.

God spoke through the prophet Malachi, telling the people of God that they weren’t doing what was right. God spoke about a time in history when all that would change:

“Once more you’ll see the difference it makes between being a person who does the right thing and one who doesn’t, between serving God and not serving him.” Malachi 3v18 MSG

God was promising a day when it would be easy to see those people who serve God His way and those who serve God their own way.

Although, today, it is harder, God did something that helps us know the difference between those two types of people.

First, He sent His One and Only Son, Jesus, to pay the price for our sins. This payment opened the opportunity for us to be close to God.

Second, He has given us the Word of God, the Bible. This book contains the True Information of want God wants. Using the Word of God, you can hold it up to other words and be able to see what is truth.

Third, He has given to us His Holy Spirit. This divine person gives us the ability to understand the Word of God and to understand this world.

Lastly… there isn’t a lastly.

God has given us the ability to speak with Him and understand Him. With this line of communication and closeness, we can see the fulfillment of the Day that Malachi talks about — a clear distinction between those who serve God and those who don’t.
