Daddy God

Daddy God

Galatians 4:6

And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!”

A minister told a story about something strange that was happening in his home. His young daughter one day called him, James, instead of Daddy.

He asked her, “Sweety, why did you call me, James?”

“Everyone else calls you James,” she said.

The minister sat her down on his knee and said, “Sweety, I don’t want you to call me, James.”

“But why?” she replied.

“Because you are my daughter, other people call me James, but you are my daughter. Only you can call me Daddy, that’s our special name. And because you are my child, I love you like no one else. I know you love me When you call out ‘Daddy.’”

The little girl responded lovingly, “Okay…Daddy.”

Jesus taught in Matthew 6:9 that when we pray we should call God our Father. God wants us to love Him as Father and wants us to call Him by that name. Galatians 4:6 says, “because we are his children God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, ‘Abba Father.’”

Have you called out to your Father in heaven? He loves you and loves to hear your voice, especially when you call Him, Father!
