Going thru Struggles
Everyone would rather have a time to celebrate than a time to suffer. Yet, God doesn’t always allow us to live a life without suffering.
In Psalm 66v10-12, the psalmist writes about how good and great God is. Then in verse 10 he writes about how God tested his people, put them into prison and laid burdens on their backs.
In the end, God brought them through terrible times into a place of abundance.
They didn’t start in abundance, but God saw them through to the end.
Psalm 66v10-12
For you, God, tested us;
you refined us like silver.
You brought us into prison
and laid burdens on our backs.
You let people ride over our heads;
we went through fire and water,
but you brought us to a place of abundance.
Take some time to reflect on what God has done for you just like this Psalm does as they remember the time when the People of Israel were enslaved under the Egyptians at the end of the book of Genesis and Exodus.
God has proven His faithfulness in our lives and that is worth remembering.
